On June 3, SNEC PV+ 2026 officially kicked off at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Launched back in 2007, this marks its 19th edition.

As an annual industry bellwether, what new trends and directions have emerged at this year's SNEC? PV Industry Network has compiled the key highlights below. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Keyword 1: Integration

Against the backdrop of widespread overcapacity across all links of China’s photovoltaic industrial chain and increasingly fierce market competition, the growth model relying solely on module manufacturing has hit a ceiling. Enterprises are accelerating their shift toward solar-storage integration, a key approach to cut fierce internal competition and tap new growth potential.

This year, LONGi Green Energy made its debut at SNEC as an exhibitor specializing in integrated solar and energy storage solutions. On the opening day of the exhibition, LONGi unveiled a suite of solutions for GWh-scale power stations and industrial & commercial power areas. At its core, the company fundamentally restructures the solar-storage collaboration mechanism, realizing the native integration of high-efficiency BC photovoltaic technology and the full 5S energy storage system (BMS, iCCS, EMS, TMS, PCS), and eliminating the siloed operation of solar and storage systems from the root.

On June 3, Sungrow launched the PowerMatrix™ modular inverter and the supporting modular inverter system built around it. As a brand-new product category, PowerMatrix™ integrates PV inversion, energy storage conversion, energy routing and grid-forming control, serving as a core energy node for the new power system.Breaking the limitations of traditional systems such as fragmented architecture, single energy flow paths and poor coordination, the modular inverter system features five core innovations: multi-port integration, native solar-storage convergence, hierarchical coordinated control, reconstructed energy flow paths and grid-forming capability on the power generation side. It creates a new energy network characterized by multi-node interconnection, multi-path energy flow and overall coordination, bringing a comprehensive upgrade to the cost, efficiency and reliability of solar-storage power stations.

Keyword 2: Digital & Intelligent Transformation

Driven by the AI boom, digital and intelligent development has emerged as a new growth driver for industrial upgrading.

On June 2, Zhou Tao, President of the Smart PV Product Line at Huawei Digital Power, delivered a keynote speech titled Green Power: The Driving Force for a Smart World at SNEC 2026. Huawei Digital Power is advancing the in-depth integration of AI into energy businesses, elevating AI from a supporting tool to a core production factor. Leveraging energy AI agents, the company enables autonomous operation of energy systems, bringing four major transformations in value, capability, security and interaction.

Also on June 2, Sigen New Energy held the AI + Solar & Energy Storage Design Seminar themed Focus on Energy, Smart Storage Without Boundaries in Shanghai. During the event, the company officially kicked off its 2026 Large-scale Base Strategy and unveiled new products and system solutions for utility-scale ground-mounted power stations. This marks Sigen New Energy’s further expansion into the large-scale PV and energy storage market, following its layout in residential and industrial & commercial segments.

Xu Yingtong, Chairman and CEO of Sigen New Energy, stated that AI has become a fundamental capability for the intelligent evolution of energy systems. The company previously launched its global AI in All strategy and rolled out SigenAgent, its energy AI agent, aiming to embed AI into the core operation of energy systems.

On June 3, during 2026 SNEC SMART E International Smart Energy Exhibition & Conference, Envision officially launched the world’s first AI-powered integrated solar-storage system, alongside a new generation of grid-forming string PV inverters. The system has already been deployed in multiple benchmark projects worldwide, achieving immediate commercial application and on-site validation upon launch.

Envision's AI-powered integrated solar-storage system is dual-driven by the Tianji Meteorological Large Model and Tianshu Energy Large Model. It deeply embeds AI technologies into core links of the power system including forecasting, dispatching, trading and grid-forming.Supported by fully self-developed full-stack AI energy storage, inverters and intelligent control systems, the solution enables integrated delivery throughout the project lifecycle. It flexibly adapts to four major scenarios: grid-connected efficiency improvement, weak grid adaptation, off-grid standalone operation, and coordinated operation of source, grid, load and storage.Through system-level collaboration, it achieves overall optimization across power generation, grid operation, revenue and O&M, and fully unlocks the full-lifecycle value of solar-storage power stations.

Keyword 3: Scenario-based Solutions

Trina Solar showcased its dual-engine strategy centered on TOPCon and THBC hybrid passivated back contact technologies.For distributed PV applications, the company also displayed a range of modules tailored for diverse building conditions. All-black modules balance power generation performance and architectural aesthetics, ideal for high-end residences and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Lightweight modules are optimized for low-load rooftops, ensuring structural safety while expanding the application scope of distributed PV. Anti-glare modules reduce light reflection, making them suitable for reflection-sensitive scenarios such as airports and expressways.

Skyworth PV will prominently present its Super Energy Station, a full-scenario green power solar-storage solution. It serves diverse applications including households, medium-sized commercial premises and large industrial parks. Featuring core offerings such as balcony PV, Solar-Storage Profit Solution, E-Save for Enterprises and Zero-Carbon Park, it creates a closed-loop system integrating power generation, storage, consumption and management, making the value of green energy tangible across different usage scenarios.

At the exhibition, Hopewind Electric launched a 460 kW grid-tied PV inverter designed for sub-arrays of 5MW+ large-scale PV bases. It also displayed a full lineup of grid-tied PV inverters rated at 30kW, 50kW, 110kW, 150kW and 350kW. All products have obtained certifications per the new national standards, catering to utility-scale power stations, zero-carbon parks, direct green power connection and other scenarios.

As a full-scenario solution provider for distributed PV and energy storage, Hoymiles focused on PV-storage solutions and product innovations at the exhibition.For micro PV-storage scenarios, the company showcased the Lake-6 AC-coupled all-in-one energy storage system. For residential PV-storage applications, it launched two flagship products: the LSH-6 solar & storage hybrid inverter based on AC/DC hybrid energy storage technology, and the LSA-6 storage inverter adopting AC coupling technology. For commercial, industrial and large-scale standalone energy storage scenarios, Hoymiles exhibited distributed and standalone energy storage solutions as well as the new Ocean 6000L energy storage container from its subsidiary Linkstor Energy.

Zhenxin Optoelectronics displayed innovative products including flexible modules, balcony PV systems, portable foldable devices and PVT photovoltaic-thermal integrated solutions, expanding the application scope of PV in daily life, mobile energy and comprehensive energy utilization. The company keeps extending PV products to more scenarios, ranging from large power stations and urban buildings to stationary and mobile energy applications.

As Zhu Gongshan, Chairman of GCL Group, remarked, a paradigm shift is sweeping across the PV industry. The first phase of this revolution features AI-enabled energy, while the second phase will center on space energy that taps resources beyond Earth. In the future, the integration of computing and power will reach new heights in space, enabling on-site power generation and instant computing output.

The Space Energy Development Alliance was officially launched at the opening ceremony of SNEC 2026 on June 2.

Keyword 4: Computing-Power & Power Integration

Many leading PV enterprises have deployed AIDC computing-power and power integration solutions and developed dedicated PV products for computing scenarios.

JA Solar has deeply integrated its solar-storage smart ecosystem into AIDC scenarios, forming a three-tier implementation model: green power foundation, intelligent computing scheduling and computing-power & power collaboration, and building an integrated smart energy system covering generation, grid, load, storage and computing.The company has also developed six-dimension high-resilience PV modules exclusively for AIDC scenarios. Boasting six core strengths — superior hail resistance, advanced fire protection, high load capacity, excellent performance under high temperature and low light, high efficiency, as well as self-cleaning and dust-proof features — the modules deliver steady green power supply. Paired with JA Solar's energy storage system, they ensure uninterrupted operation of core facilities amid grid fluctuations, outages and other extreme conditions, serving as solid hardware support for empowering high-computing infrastructure with green energy.

On June 2, at the JA Rebranding Launch & Ecosystem Partner Conference (JAx2026), JA Solar Smart Energy officially unveiled its AI agent system JA E-Link Agent OS and the core hardware JA E-Link MC Microgrid Controller. The AIDC computing-power and power integration solution was also released on the same occasion.

Jinko Solar launched its new-generation smart solar-storage solutions at the 2026 SNEC New Product Launch & Media Exchange held ahead of the exhibition.Its all-new Tiger Neo 5.0 modules deliver an output of 700W with the same footprint and achieve an efficiency of 25.91%. Jinko also showcased its full product portfolio, including dust-repellent, AIDC, safety guard, anti-glare, lightweight and high-load modules. This differentiated product lineup fully demonstrates the company’s comprehensive innovation capabilities spanning PV modules to energy storage.

Tailored for computing centers, the AIDC dedicated modules boost total power generation by over 3% throughout the lifecycle and cut system risk costs by 88.6%.

Keyword 5: Globalization

This year's SNEC clearly highlights a major trend: the PV industry is undergoing a value upgrade, evolving from pure manufacturers to comprehensive energy service providers and further expanding overseas with full-fledged capabilities. Approaches to global expansion have become increasingly diversified, with enterprises exploring tailored globalization strategies for different regions.

Cao Haiyun, newly appointed CEO of Jinko Solar, stated that globalization is embedded in the company's DNA. Jinko is advancing into the Globalization 3.0 era, building on its existing global marketing, manufacturing and investment layout."We have put forward the CLASS model, which stands for Cooperation, Licensing, Access, Service and Sharing. It underpins our strategy of localizing production to serve local markets. Currently, this Globalization 3.0 strategy has been put into practice in the U.S. and Middle East markets."

At this SNEC exhibition, TBEA showcased its 12.5MW intelligent string-type PV pad-mounted transformer designed for overseas markets.The product highly integrates low-voltage switchgear, transformers, ring main units, measurement & control devices and communication systems into a 20-foot standard container. Its factory pre-assembled design addresses the pain points of conventional decentralized booster stations — large footprint, complicated wiring, high energy loss and difficult operation & maintenance — making it fully compatible with large-scale deployment of string inverters.

A notable trend is that booths of nearly all leading enterprises are no longer defined by a single positioning. It has become commonplace for one company to excel in three or four major business areas.

This fully reflects the ongoing transformation of the industry: the next phase of PV development is no longer a one-man show centered on a single product, technology or market, but a systematic project featuring solar-storage integration, digital & intelligent empowerment, in-depth scenario exploration, computing-power-energy coordination and global operation.Leadership in a single dimension can no longer build a solid moat. Only enterprises that combine diversified product portfolios, mature operation systems and localized services into an unbreakable value network can tide over industry cycles steadily.
